Rachad Rayess was born and raised in Hemleya, a small village in the mountains of Lebanon. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctor degrees at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Rayess then moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he started his psychiatry training at Harvard Medical School programs. He completed his adult psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship at the Harvard Southshore Psychiatry Residency Program and Cambridge Health Alliance respectively. In 2010, he relocated to Anchorage, Alaska where he started working at Anchorage Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS). Then in 2014, he joined Alliance Behavioral Medicine. He continues to provide psychiatric services at other facilities (ACMHS, Mclaughlin Youth Center, Dena’ina Wellness Center, Alaska Baptist Family Services). Dr. Rayess is board-certified in adult psychiatry and also board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry.
When not working, Dr. Rayess enjoys the outdoors with his wife and daughter. He is an avid hiker and mountain climber.
